Temporary Lane Closure W Main Street to begin November 11, 2019 for Utility Construction

A portion of W Main Street between N Willow Avenue and N Howard Avenue will close beginning on Monday, November 11, 2019 for utility construction.  A utility contractor will install a gas service line across W Main Street on the west side of N Oregon Avenue intersection.

The westbound lane on W Main Street between N Willow Avenue and N Rome Avenue will close beginning at 9 am on November 11, 2019.

Westbound and eastbound traffic on W Main Street between N Willow Avenue and N Rome Avenue will be intermittently maintained on the south side of W Main Street at all times during construction, with delays. 

All lanes on W Main Street will be open to traffic by 4 pm on Friday, December 6, 2019, weather permitting. 

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion.  Eastbound and westbound motorists can use W Cypress Street between N Willow Avenue and N Howard Avenue in lieu of W Main Street.
