Temporary Lane Closure on N Franklin Street June 3, 2019 for Utility Construction

A portion of N Franklin Street between E Twiggs Street and E Madison Street will close nightly from 6 pm to 5 am beginning on Monday, June 3, 2019 for utility construction.  A utility contractor will be installing underground utilities on the west side of N Franklin Street between E Madison Street and E Twiggs Street for a utility connection for a redevelopment at 220 E Madison Avenue. 

The southbound lane on N Franklin Street between E Twiggs Street and E Madison Street will close at 6 pm on June 3, 2019.  

Sidewalks in the construction area will be closed.  Pedestrians will be detoured to other available sidewalks in the area with signage.

All lanes on N Franklin Street will reopen by 5 am on Thursday, June 6, 2019, weather permitting.

The City recommends that motorists use alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion.
