Temporary Lane Closure on E Broadway Avenue to begin May 20, 2019 for Road Construction
A portion of E Broadway Avenue between N 50th Street and N Falkenburg Road will close nightly beginning on Monday, May 20, 2019, as part of the Capital Improvement project. A Hillsborough County contractor will install additional drainage on E Broadway Avenue at the N 70th Street intersection.
The eastbound lane on E Broadway Avenue between N 66th Street and N 71st Street will close nightly from 7 pm to 6 am the following morning beginning on May 20, 2019.
Eastbound and westbound traffic on E Broadway Avenue between N 66th Street and N 71st Street will be intermittently maintained at all times, with delays.
During a portion of the construction, the northbound lane on N 70th Street between E 14th Avenue and E Broadway Avenue will also be closed. Northbound and southbound traffic on N 70th Street between E 14th Avenue and E Broadway Avenue will be intermittently maintained at all times, with delays.
All lanes on E Broadway Avenue between N 66th Street and N 71st Street and on N 70th Street between E 14th Avenue and E Broadway Avenue will be open by 6 am on Saturday, May 25, 2019, weather permitting.
The City recommends using alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion. Eastbound and westbound motorists can use SR 60 between N 50th Street and Orient Road in lieu of E Broadway Avenue.
