Tampa’s Drinking Water Quality Report is in the Mail

Tampa’s annual drinking water quality report is being mailed with City of Tampa utility bills throughout the month of May.
“The water quality report is our annual report card to our account holders. It provides a look at the important work we do around the clock to ensure that Tampa residents and visitors receive top quality water at every tap,” said Tampa’s Water Department Director, Chuck Weber. “Tampa’s drinking water continues to meet or exceed state and local regulations. As further proof of our staff’s expertise and dedication to producing high quality drinking water, the Partnership for Safe Drinking Water presented the 20-Year Director’s Award to the Water Department in November 2018. We are the only utility in Florida to receive the award.”
The Tampa Water Department produces and distributes a Water Quality Report each year for analyses performed on its water in the previous calendar year. The report contains information about Tampa’s water sources, how the water is treated, how the water is tested, specific test results for compounds detected in Tampa’s water and other helpful consumer information.
All Water Department account holders will receive a single printed copy of the calendar year 2018 report with their City of Tampa Utility bills. Water users who do not receive an individual City of Tampa utility bill and other interested persons can view this year’s Water Quality Report, including the Spanish edition, at www.tampagov.net/waterquality. Consumers without computer access can request mailed printed copies by calling (813) 274-8121, option #5.
