Tampa Police Investigating Early Morning Homicide

DATE/TIME: September 30, 2018 at approx 4:26 a.m.

LOCATION: 600 Block of South Willow Avenue

VICTIM: B/M 20 to 30 years old

DETAILS:

Tampa Police officers are actively investigating a fatal shooting involving a male victim between the age of 20 to 30 years old. A neighbor heard gunshots and immediately called police shortly before 4:30 am on September 30. When officers arrived they located the male victim in the 600 block of South Willow Avenue. He was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.

Detectives are meticulously combing the scene for evidence and interviewing neighbors to develop leads that would assist with identifying the suspect(s) and determining the circumstances that led up to the fatal incident.

Detectives are urging community members in the area to review their home/business surveillance for suspicious activity that may have been caught on camera around the time the shooting occurred. Anyone who locates suspicious activity on their surveillance cameras are asked to contact the Tampa Police Department at 813-231-6130.

Crime Stoppers is also offering a reward of up to $3,000 for anonymous information that leads to the identity of the suspect(s).

Additional information will be provided, to include the identity of the deceased victim, once it becomes available.
