Temporary Lane Closure N McKinley Drive August 9, 2018 for Utility Construction
A portion of N McKinley Drive between E Fowler Avenue and E Bougainvillea Avenue will close daily beginning on Thursday, August 9, 2018, for utility construction. A utility contractor will be installing underground utilities on the west side of McKinley Drive. One (1) southbound lane on N McKinley Drive between E Fowler Avenue and E Bougainvillea Avenue will be closed daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on August 9, 2018.
One (1) lane of southbound traffic will be maintained on N McKinley Drive at all times during the construction, with delays.
A portion of the sidewalk on the east side of N McKinley Drive between E Fowler Avenue and E Bougainvillea Avenue will be closed during construction. Pedestrians will be detoured via signage to other sidewalks in the area, during construction.
It is anticipated the work will be completed by 4 pm on Monday, August 13, 2018, weather permitting.
The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid congestion. Southbound motorists can use N 30th Street or N 46th Street between E Fowler Avenue and E Bougainvillea Avenue in lieu of N McKinley Drive.
