Temporary Lane Closure W Sligh Avenue May 18, 2018 for Utility Maintenance
A portion of W Sligh Avenue between N Florida Avenue and N Boulevard will close Friday, May 18, 2018, for utility maintenance. A City contractor will be installing a new water service for a residential property on the north side of W Sligh Avenue to the east of N Boulevard. One (1) westbound lane on W Sligh Avenue between the Hillsborough River and N Boulevard will be close between 9 am to 4 pm on May 18, 2018.
One (1) lane of westbound traffic will be maintained on W Sligh Avenue at all times during construction, with delays.
All lanes on W Sligh Avenue will be open to traffic by 4 pm on May 18, 2018, weather permitting.
The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
Motorists can use W Waters Avenue between N Florida Avenue and N Boulevard in lieu of W Sligh Avenue.
