Temporary Road Closure on N Highland Avenue began April 2, 2018 for Road and Utility Improvements
Tampa, FL (April 3, 2018) – A portion of N Highland Avenue between the I-275 Southbound Doyle Carlton Drive exit ramp and W Palm Avenue closed on Monday, April 2, 2018, as part of The Heights Development project. A private contractor will be installing new storm, sanitary and water lines, brick parking stalls and sidewalks on the N Highland Avenue between W 7th Avenue and W Palm Avenue in conjuction with the proposed development. N Highland Avenue between W 7th Avenue and W Palm Avenue closed at 9 am on April 2, 2018.
W Oak Avenue between N Tampa Street and N Ola Avenue will also be closed during the construction.
All lanes on N Highland Avenue between W 7th Avenue and W Palm Avenue and W Oak Avenue between N Tampa Street and N Ola Avenue will be open to traffic by 4pm on Friday, June 22, 2018, weather permitting.
The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
