Temporary Lane/Road Closures from N 34th Street & E 8th Avenue to W Cleveland Street & N Westland Avenue to begin February 13, 2018 for House Relocation
(This is a revision to a Traffic Advisory sent out on February 6, 2018)

Tampa, FL (February 6, 2018) – Temporary road closures will occur between East Tampa and South Howard (SoHo) over two (2) consecutive nights beginning on Tuesday, February 13, 2018, for the relocation of a house. A private contractor will relocate an historic house on E 8th Avenue near N 34th Street in East Tampa to a corner lot at the intersection of W Cleveland Street and N Westland Avenue in SoHo. The transport vehicles will be escorted by uniformed traffic control officers through the entire travel path beginning at 12:01 am to 5 am on February 13, 2018. Roads, lanes, and sidewalks will be closed as the house relocation proceeds across the following roads:

  • 3210 E 8th Avenue to N 34th Street,
  • N 34th Street to Adamo Drive,
  • Adamo Drive to Channelside Drive,
  • Channelside Drive to E Kennedy Boulevard, 
  • E Kennedy Boulevard to N Jefferson Street,
  • N Jefferson Street to E Brorein Street,
  • E Brorein Street to W Cleveland Street, and
  • W Cleveland Street to 118 N Westland Avenue.

All lanes on the travel path will be open to traffic by 5 am on Wednesday, February 14, 2018, weather permitting.
The City recommends using alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
