4th person struck by Brightline train within its 1st month
A fourth person has been struck by the Brightline train, which has been in service for only a month.
The Orlando Sun-Sentinel reports the man was struck about 7:45 p.m. Thursday and taken to Broward Health Medical Center with an apparent broken arm.
In the previous incidents, a woman was hurt by the train on Jan. 20, and Melissa Lavell, on Jan. 12, and Jeffrey D. King, on Jan. 19, died after being struck by trains in Boynton Beach.
The train, which runs between West Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale, has been in operation since Jan. 13.
