Temporary Lane Closure of E Brorein Street to begin Monday, December 11, 2017 for Roadway and Infrastructure Improvements
(This is a revision to the Traffic Advisory sent out on December 6, 2017)
A portion of E Brorein Street between S Meridian Avenue and S Jefferson Street will close on Monday, December 11, 2017 for roadway and infrastructure improvements. One (1) westbound lane on the north side of E Brorein Street between S Nebraska Avenue and S Jefferson Street will close at 9 am for utility tie-ins on E Brorein Street. All lanes on E Brorein Street between S Nebraska Avenue and S Jefferson Street are expected to be open to traffic by 3:30 pm, weather permitting.
The City recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion. Westbound motorists can use E Kennedy Boulevard between S Meridian Avenue and S Morgan Street, in lieu of E Brorein Street.
E Cumberland Avenue between S Nebraska Avenue and S Meridian Avenue will remain closed until Tuesday, September 4, 2018. S Caesar Street between Channelside Drive and E Walton Street will remain closed until Thursday, May 31, 2018. S Caesar Street between Channelside Drive and E Walton Street will be available for local trucks only during the time of the closure.
