Temporary Lane Closure on Rome Avenue / Snow Avenue / Dakota Avenue to begin July 10, 2017 for Road Construction
The Hyde Park Village Road Improvement Project continues on Rome Avenue / Snow Avenue / Dakota Avenue between Morrison Avenue and Swann Avenue. On Monday, July 10, 2017 at 9 am the construction in the northbound lane of Rome Avenue / Snow Avenue / Dakota Avenue will move north between S Dakota Avenue and Village Circle Road. The private contractor will replace sidewalk and curb on the east side of Snow Avenue between the Dakota Avenue and Village Circle Road entrance.
Access to the residents at Hyde Park Walk (800 S Dakota) and to the Hyde Park Village parking garage will be available from the north and south on Rome Avenue / Snow Avenue / Dakota Avenue. Motorists leaving Hyde Park Walk will need to use the alley located to the south of the garage. The sidewalk on the west side of Rome Avenue / Snow Avenue / Dakota Avenue will be open throughout the construction period.
It is anticipated that all lanes on Rome Avenue / Snow Avenue / Dakota Avenue will reopen to traffic by 4 pm on Monday, July 31, 2017, weather permitting.
The City recommends that motorists use alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion.
