Corey Harper headlines Fat Tire’s Tour de Fat in St. Petersburg

ST. PETERSBURG – Fat Tire will present the Tour de Fat from New Belgium Brewing on Tuesday, June 6, 7 p.m., at Jannus Live, 200 First Ave. N., St. Petersburg.

Attendees must be 21 or older. Tickets start at $15.

This year’s tour is the biggest and boldest yet, traveling to 33 cities. Singer-songwriter Corey Harper will headline the St. Pete show with his soothing vocals and melodic guitar playing. The folk-rocker’s latest single, “Favorite Part of Loving You,” is out now along with his debut EP, “On The Run.”

“This year we’re bringing in top headliners, such as Corey Harper,” said Sam Sawyer in a press release. Sawyer is New Belgium brand manager. “We’ve got an eclectic mix of local talent, vaudeville acts, and magicians, plus great beer and we’ll be raising money for our nonprofit partners. We couldn’t be more excited to bring the party to St. Pete.”

Tour de Fat revelers are encouraged to wear costumes and everyone 21 and older will be able to enjoy some of New Belgium’s year-round line-up including the American craft beer icon, Fat Tire, Voodoo Ranger 8 Hop Pale Ale, Bohemian Style Pilsener and Citradelic Tangerine IPA.

Since 2000, Tour de Fat has raised close to $5 million for nonprofit partners and hopes to generate more than $600,000 in support of local causes this year. The St. Pete stop will benefit Shift St. Pete, an organization dedicated to helping ensure all bicyclists and pedestrians have access to a safe and connected network of roads, sidewalks and trails.

“Connecting our communities on foot and by bicycle is Shift St. Pete’s mission and we see Tour de Fat as being a great opportunity to bring our neighbors together for a whimsical evening out while helping spread the word about bicycle and pedestrian safety,” said Vanessa Wheeler, executive director of Shift St. Pete.

Also performing will be Luxury Mane and Scot Nery.
