June music scene heats up around Pinellas

The Turtles headlines and hosts the annual Happy Together Tour, coming to Ruth Eckerd Hall June 10.

Ruth Eckerd Hall welcomes Diana Ross; Arturo Sandoval takes the stage at The Mahaffey. Tampa Bay area venues, both large and small, will welcome a diverse selection of musical artists in the coming weeks.

In addition to headliners such as Diana Ross, U2 and Iron Maiden, a number of festivals and outdoor concerts will be presented in June.

This concert will allow audiences the opportunity to take a trip back to the decade that launched alternative rock. Third Eye Blind – along with Silversun Pickups – will make a stop at Coachman Park as part of their Summer Gods Tour. Third Eye Blind has sold more than 12 million records worldwide with songs like “Semi-Charmed Life,” “Jumper,” and “How’s it Going to Be” topping the Billboard charts.

All of the Coachman Concerts are part of the Ruth Eckerd Hall On the Road series.

The Happy Together Tour returns to the Tampa Bay area Saturday, June 10, 7 p.m., with a performance at Ruth Eckerd Hall, 1111 McMullen Booth Road, Clearwater.

Get transported back in time at Happy Together 2017 as legendary musicians perform the soundtrack of your youth. The performance boasts multi-media highlights that echo back to the time period of these iconic hits. The Happy Together Tour stars The Turtles featuring Flo & Eddie (“Happy Together,” “Elenore”), Chuck Negron formerly of Three Dog Night (“Joy to the World,” “Jeremiah Was A Bullfrog,” “One”), The Association (“Cherish,” “Windy,” “Never My Love”), The Cowsills (“The Park and Other Things,” “Hair”), The Box Tops (“The Letter,” “Cry Like a Baby,” “Soul Deep”) and The Archies’ Ron Dante (“Sugar, Sugar”).
