Temporary Lane Closure on S. Howard Avenue March 27, 2017 for Stormwater Improvement

Beginning Monday, March 27, 2017 the southbound lane of Howard Avenue from Watrous Avenue to Marjory Avenue will close for stormwater improvement construction.  The southbound lane on Howard Avenue from Watrous Avenue to Marjory Avenue will be temporarily closed, from 9 am to 4 pm, as the City contractor ties in the new stormwater pipe. 

Phase 4 construction work will continue on Tuesday, March 28, 2017.  The northbound lane on Howard Avenue from Marjory Avenue to Watrous Avenue will be temporarily closed, daily from 9 am to 4 pm, as the City contractor installs new concrete curb, gutter and driveways on the east of Howard Avenue. This phase of work is scheduled to be completed by 4 pm on Friday, April 7, 2017, with the entire project completed by mid-April, 2017, weather permitting. 

Northbound and southbound traffic on Howard Avenue will be maintained at all times during construction with flagmen.

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
