Temporary Lane Closures on Himes Avenue began December 19, 2016 for Median Upgrades
A portion of Himes Avenue from Columbus Drive to Hillsborough Avenue closed on Monday, December 19, 2016. Himes Avenue will have temporary lane closures in both direction of traffic from 9am to 4pm daily as City of Tampa’s crew and contractor upgrades the landscaping in the center medians on Himes Avenue.
One (1) northbound lane and one (1) southbound lane on Himes Avenue will be maintained at all times during the landscape installation with minor delays.
The landscape maintenance work should be completed by Friday, March 17, 2017, weather permitting.
The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
