CLEARWATER – America’s favorite brother and sister duo Donny & Marie will bring holiday cheer to the area with a performance Tuesday, Dec. 6, 8 p.m., at Ruth Eckerd Hall, 1111 McMullen Booth Road, Clearwater.

With more than 90 years in show business between them, Donny & Marie are bringing holiday classics along with their chart-toppers such as “Puppy Love,” “Paper Roses” and “A Little Bit Country,” “A Little Bit Rock ’n’ Roll.” Add in sibling humor, their supreme Las Vegas band and dancers, along with high-energy style and dance numbers and this is one production that is total entertainment for the young and young at heart.

Donny & Marie have collectively recorded 142 albums, selling over 100 million copies with 51 Gold and Platinum recordings. They have starred in their own television series, specials, documentaries and numerous programs throughout the world. Collectively and individually, they have sold out venues worldwide, breaking box office records and received countless awards.

Donny Osmond was born in 1957. He is the seventh of nine children: eight boys and one girl. The entire Osmond Family have a long and varied career, which had a humble beginning singing barbershop harmony on Main Street Disneyland. Soon thereafter, Donny and his siblings became very successful teen idols worldwide.

Today, Donny performs at the Las Vegas Flamingo Hotel with his sister, Marie. The show began back in September 2008 and was originally scheduled to run for six months. The response was so overwhelming that the Flamingo immediately asked for a two-year extension.

According to her website, Marie Osmond has spent five iconic decades in the entertainment business performing as a successful singer, television performer and talk show host, dancer, actor, author, entrepreneur, philanthropist and public speaker.

She has continued to maintain relevance, remaining an instantly recognizable figure across the globe. Her debut single “Paper Roses” reached the No. 1 spot on two Billboard charts, a feat that not only placed her among an elite class of musical royalty, but instantly catapulted her into international superstardom.

Since then, she has garnered two Grammy nominations, a CMA Vocal Duo of the Year award, numerous Billboard chart-topping singles and albums, and three New York Times Bestselling books.
