Buccaneers vs. Cowboys Flexed to 8:30 pm

On Sunday night, the NFL announced that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Week 15 game against the Dallas Cowboys has been flexed from 1 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., moving the Bucs’ into the primetime slot. The Bengals and Steelers had previously been schedule to meet on Sunday Night Football.

The NFL reserves the ability to change time slots for games in the final seven weeks of the season to ensure the best matchups reach the widest audience. At the time of the announcement, the Bucs’ game against the Cowboys would feature the division leaders in the NFC South and NFC East, respectively.

It’s the second time in the past seven days that the Buccaneers have had one of their games moved to a different time. On Tuesday, it was announced that the Buccaneers’ Week 14 game against the Saints had been flexed from 1 p.m. to 4:25 p.m. The Bucs’ game against the Saints will be at home while the team’s matchup with the Cowboys will be on the road.

Week 15 in Dallas will be the Buccaneers’ third primetime game this season. The Buccaneers played against the Panthers on Monday Night Football in Week 5 and took on the Falcons on Thursday Night Football in Week 9.
