Temporary Lane Closure of Cypress Street to begin November 3, 2016 for Water Main Construction

A portion of Cypress Street from Rome Avenue to Albany Avenue will be closed starting Thursday, November 3, 2016 as part of a Capital Improvement Project.  The City contractor is installing a 6”, 8” and 12” water main along Cypress Street from Rome Avenue to Albany Avenue as part of phase 3 of the construction project.  This phase of work is scheduled to be completed by November 30, 2016 with the entire construction project being completed by January 2017, weather permitting. 

The work will be completed in four (4) phases to allow local access. 

Phase 1 Willow Avenue to Oregon Avenue

Phase 2 Oregon Avenue to Rome Avenue

Phase 3 Rome Avenue to Albany Avenue

Phase 4 Albany Avenue to Howard Avenue

The City recommends using alternative westbound routes to avoid traffic congestion.
