Cold front arrives late tonight

Happy Friday morning everyone, I’m Meteorologist Bobby Deskins and I’m tracking that cold front that is headed our way late tonight.

Friday will start mild in the mid to upper 60s  with sunny skies.  Those skies will turn partly cloudy in the afternoon, but most areas will stay dry.   A cold front will arrive well after sunset tomorrow and will bring with it a small rain chance.  That rain will fall apart before it can rack Tampa and Lakeland southward.  The latest model runs are suggesting a weaker front meaning only slightly drier and cooler air will make it in here for the weekend.

Saturday and Sunday will be nice with partly cloudy skies and rain chances less than 10%.  Highs will be in the upper 70s to near 80 and lows will drop to the upper 50s to low 60s.

Don’t forget that we push the clocks back 1 hour this Sunday at 2 a.m.  That means you may want to enjoy the light in the evenings through Saturday as the sun will set around 5:40 p.m. Sunday night.
