Temporary Lane Closure of Plant Avenue June 19, 2017 for Utility Construction

(This is a revision to the Traffic Advisories sent out on May 8 and 16, 2017)

 The ongoing TECO substation upgrade project construction schedule for has been extended.  A portion of Plant Avenue from Cleveland Street to Grand Central Avenue will close on Monday, June 19, 2017, for utility construction.  Beginning on June 19, 2017, one (1) lane on Plant Avenue will close from Cleveland Street to Grand Central Avenue nightly on Mondays and daily on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, as part of the ongoing TECO substation upgrade project.  It is anticipated that this phase of construction work will be completed by 5:30 am on Friday, July 21, 2017.

Beginning on Monday, June 19, 2017, one (1) lane on Plant Avenue will close from Cleveland Street to Grand Central Avenue from 7:30 pm to 5:30 am on Tuesday, June 20, 2017. On Tuesday, June 20, 2017 and Wednesday, June 21, 2017, one (1) lane on Plant Avenue from Cleveland Street to Grand Central Avenue will close from 9 am to 2:30 pm.

There will be no lane closures in the following 2 (two) weeks. 

Beginning on Monday, July 10, 2017 and the following Monday, July 17, 2017, one (1) lane on Plant Avenue will close from Cleveland Street to Grand Central Avenue nightly from 7:30 pm to 5:30 am, Tuesday, July 11, 2017 and Tuesday, July 18, 2017, respectively.

On Tuesday, July 11, 2017 and Wednesday, July 12, 2017 and on the following week on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 and Wednesday, July 19, 2017, one (1) lane on Plant Avenue from Cleveland Street to Grand Central Avenue will close from 9 am to 2:30 pm.

It is anticipated that the entire TECO upgrade project will be completed and all lanes will be open to traffic on Plant Avenue by 2:30 pm on Friday, July 21, 2017.

The City recommends using alternative northbound routes to avoid traffic congestion.
